In this introductory Blockly course, students will make interactive games and tools for the micro:bit to improve their health.

Students will learn about:

  • programming the BBC micro:bit with Blockly including scrolling text and displaying images,
  • problem decomposition and algorithms,
  • storing information in variables,
  • making decisions using if, if-else and if-elif-else statements in their programs,
  • making loops within loops,
  • playing songs and musical notes,
  • using the micro:bit time functionality, and
  • using the micro:bit accelerometer to detect movement.
