Become a computer ninja by learning skills in using Unix and the command line!
In this course, students will learn how to use the Unix command line, focusing on the following concepts:
- navigation - introducing the Unix command line and navigating files and directories,
- finding Information - using the Unix command line to search for files and directories, and
- permissions - introduction to the Unix security permissions model.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to ongoing issues with the virtual machines (VMs) in the Unix course, we will be replacing some of the problems in the third module - Permissions. The problems will be changed so they no longer use VMs. These changes will be live from Monday July 8.
If you have already completed problems in the Permissions module, you will lose your progress on these problems. If you would like the course to show up as complete, you will need to complete this module again.
