This code activity builds on the Frozen Fractals activity, introducing students to further computational thinking concepts including variables, decisions, and conditionals.
In this activity students will draw hydrangea flowers, and learn that the colour of the flowers depends on the pH of the soil.
The activity is structured as sequence of interactive notes and questions that students are challenged to answer. Students use the Turtle module in the Blockly visual programming language to draw images of increasing complexity.
